"Off" Season plans

It has been a while since I posted, in part because the season really kicked in.  Now that my "season" is over I finished 25 total races, 10 Road, 5 Criteriums, 6 Time trials, 2 Duathlon, and 2 10K's.  Cross season is now starting and I have one final Mtb race to squeeze in.
After Nationals I decided it was better to not aim for worlds due to lack of funding and lack of experience.  I was not sure that my "young" body could take the added mileage and that I should give myself more time to prepare.  I hope that this next year will provide a move do-able location and distance.  If not-I will adapt my training to accommodate for it.  I will also have more time to prepare as well.
On another note, I was able to fit in the other half of my Road season with really strong results!  My dualthon training really seemed to pay off.  I won the State Road Race Jersey, Won a circuit race in a break and second place to a teammates first.  I was also 4th overall in the Overall Season State rankings.  The way I finished the season I may be able to CAT up soon.

I did my first Cross race of this season.  Very fun and strong race.  There were a total of 30 W1/2 and almost 25 W3/4 (Over 50 on the line!!!!).  Out of the 3/4 I came in 3rd landing and AWESOME spot on the podium.  Great Swag Bag, MUCH better then local race swag.  I won about $200 dollars worth of stuff (Saddle, Book, Jumbo container of Heed, GU (my fav flavor too!), two shirts, Steel camel back bottle, a couple of bottle openers).  Not to mention some beer hand offs. They know how to do it up here.
The W12 Pay out was $1000!!!!!  Sam came in a respectable 8th and won some Moo-lah.

Its time to re-focus... There are two half marathons (Dalton Red Carpet and Chattanooga 4 Bridges) I plan on doing in the next two months as well as RAGNAR!!!!! Chattanooga-Nashville leg #7 (2,200 ft of climbing in 20 miles)
I did a run work out this morning, 4 X 1mile repeats at 5k race pace.  I broke a toe about 6 weeks ago, and have not done much running at all, but I was happy to hold ~ 6:35 pace, give or take. Happy to start up again.

Other then the running...Still have some awesome 'Cross racing to do.  Doesn't seem like much of an off season, huh? More like FUN season.
